Parasailing FAQ

How high when parasailing?

Parasailing is regulated by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Every parasail company in the United States must obtain a waiver from the FAA in order to operate commercially. Our waiver is exactly the same as every operation in the country and allows us to fly up to 500ft above the water. In order to achieve this height we use up to 1,250ft of line on our winch. Beware of local competitors claiming they can fly higher than us. This is false advertising. We 100% guarantee you will not find a higher flight in the entire United States. If heights aren’t your thing, just talk to the captain and he will keep you a bit lower. Call for more details. 941-346-8300

How much does parasailing cost?

Premium parasail flight is $89 per person. This includes 1,250 feet of towline, gentle free falls and a dip in the water if requested. This is the highest flight allowed in the USA.

Observers are $60 per person. Observers are only available if the boat is not filled with those who are parasailing.

We offer a Photo Package for $35 per group. This is an SD card that we provide with at least 30-40 photos of your group during the parasail trip. We put all the photos on the SD card at the end of the trip and it’s your to keep.

How many people can fly together?

We can fly 2 or 3 people at a time. Each person gets their own harness and life jacket and are attached to the parasail side by side. Most flights are tandem or triple. These flights allow for the maximum time in the air. However, the ultimate decision is made by the captain once he sees the combined weight of the people and the conditions (winds, seas, etc.) at the time of the reservation.

How long is a parasail ride?

Our premium parasail flight is 10-12 minutes.

How long does a parasail trip last?

The average parasail trip last 60-90 minutes from the time we leave the dock.

Is there a weight limit?

Generally not. However, for tandem or triple rides it ultimately depends on the conditions (winds, seas, etc.) at the time of your reservation. The captains make the final decision.

Is there an age limit?

Ages 5 to 105 can fly with us. If you can sit, you can parasail. With children, the younger or lighter parasailers will go up with an older sibling, friend or adult for more weight in the parasail.

Is there a better time to parasail?

No. Anytime is great, except during a lightning storm.

Do I need a reservation?

Reservations are not required, but highly recommended. You can call us at 941-346-8300 or book online.

Do I have to get wet?

No. We have a brand new parasail boat with an integrated flight deck on the back. You will take off and land on the back of the boat, so it is not necessary to get wet. However, if you want to get wet, you can request to be dipped at the end of your flight.

Do you have kids' rates?

No. The rates are the same for adults and kids since we are limited to 12 people per reservation.

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased by clicking this link: BUY GIFT CARD
or by giving us a call 941-346-8300.

What should I wear parasailing?

Swim suit, T-shirt and shoes you can easily slip off and leave at the dock before loading the boat.

What if the weather is bad the day/time of my reservation?

Give us a call if you are questioning whether or not we are going out. The captains will decide if the conditions are suitable for parasailing. We do not parasail when there is lightning or in high winds and rough seas. We still parasail when it’s overcast/cloudy and in light, passing rain. If we know before your reservation that we are not operating we will give you a call.

When are you open (days and times)?

We are open for parasailing every day! We parasail by reservations starting at 8:00 a.m. and run until our last reservation. We are available to take reservations daily starting at 8 a.m. Call or email for reservations anytime.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your camera or video camera with you on the boat. We are not responsible however if your camera gets wet during the trip. We only allow waterproof or disposable cameras to be taken up in the flight for obvious reasons.
*** We do offer a photo package on board the boat. We take approximately 40 pictures of your parasail flight with our professional digital camera with a high powered zoom lens. We give you the reusable digital photo card at the end of the trip to take home and download to your computer or develop the pictures at your convenience.

Can people go on the boat who are not parasailing?

We are limited to 12 people per reservation. However, if there are not 12 parasailers, we can take observers. The cost for a guaranteed observer is $60, or $40 at the time being of the reservation if we have availability. If we do get other parasailers for that reservation, observers will be bumped and they can go to the beach and watch. (Usually in March and April there is NO room for observers. We cannot make ANY guarantees that observers will be allowed on the boat.)
